BJJ: NOT JUST martial art, but a cultural movement

There is something common to all wrestlers or jiujitsu grappling Nogi, which is not only a common passion for these martial arts or combat sports, but also a sort of "common feeling" that brings this beautiful people, having the characteristics sui generis.

I do not know if it's just my perception, or belief more or less recognized, but I feel a kind of social phenomenon that is spreading, despite not being promoted by the major media as the television, radio ... everything is being developed for live contact, personal experiences or through the Internet.

These people certainly has the features they have in common: the passion to be the discipline that leads to adapt their lives to the sport needs, the propensity to travel is not for pure vacation, but to look for new gym where training will be the fact that you train with tools considered to be innovative, but which are actually ancient, and unknown to all fitness enthusiasts, will be some attention to the search for new aesthetic models or systems of artistic communication, such as photo ...

seems that you are developing a new social model, in a society that thrives on appearances. Someone with the jiujitsu, prefer to live to be, not to appear.

Rather than treat their muscles, so as an end in itself, prefers the athletic coach, set a goal, look for continuous competitive experiences, in short, to live their lives as a protagonist and not as a spectator.

The BJJ

us to love even when all the hard training they stop, if only to consolidate a friendship, a social relationship that is born, matures and consolidates the mat, for the sake of fighting. It leads us to love our kettlebell, our bulgarian bag, our GI, leads us to dress a certain way, to speak in a certain way, to prefer some places more than others, to reject the mediocrity rampant, to put in first-person fighting game.

In Italy it seems then that all jiu jitsu wrestlers, especially the darker belts, to manifest willingness to photography, graphic design, aesthetic models for the recovery of the years 60/70, to design, and we see the creativity shown in search of graphics for your logo, your website, your poster ... Also, obviously, trade press, blogs, web sites, each writing, editing, law, agrees.

I think the BJJ in Italy, is not only a discipline that is developing only now, after years, but a genuine cultural movement that is bringing many people to seek an improvement in their person, lifestyle, and is being proposed as a new model for the kids than ever in recent years appear to have nothing to believe.

The BJJ

approaching people and creates brotherhood in all in what we call network. Children who feel an integral part of the same team, even if they do not live in the same city, do not train together, but you are looking for on Facebook, share the same experiences on the mat, they find themselves in the race.

I am writing this for two reasons: one is surely to elicit the views of everyone, and try to see if my perception is shared by others, and secondly, if indeed what I think is shared, to generate awareness of the policy, and to finally realize that what we do is not just a sport o un'arte marziale... ma un vero e proprio movimento sociale/culturale.
